AKSHAN has been involved in the design and development of medical facilities in South Africa. Its affiliates have all worked at hospitals and clinical facilities. During the 2019 COVID outbreak in South Africa, AKSHAN has been engaging with the KwaZulu Natal and Eastern Cape Departments of Health, together with the Departments of Public Works on the provision of quarantine and isolation facilities. The turnkey projects included all disciplines in the built environment industry.
